CARNEGIE MEDAL
The Carnegie Medal is awarded annually to the writer of an outstanding book for children. The UK's oldest and most prestigious children's book award. Often described by authors as 'the one they want to win' - this is the gold standard in children's literature. The medal is awarded by CILIP: the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals.
